Installation, repair, and replacement
We install new LiftMaster garage door openers and repair the ones already in Kentucky garages. Every visit starts with the door itself, because no opener can make up for a heavy or binding door.
We test the LiftMaster opener, controls, sensors, rail or shaft connection, and the garage door itself before recommending work.
Remotes, keypads, wall controls, smart access, lighting, locks and battery backup matched to the exact opener generation.
Belts, chains, trolleys, gears, travel limits and circuit boards, checked together with door balance and track movement.
Photo-eye alignment, travel, force and auto-reverse are tested after every repair or installation.
If an existing LiftMaster opener is unsafe or parts are no longer available, we explain the compatible replacement and why.
Derby Strong installs compatible LiftMaster openers after confirming the door, garage layout, rail or shaft requirements, controls, product availability, and feature needs.

Before you schedule
Yes. We install LiftMaster openers often, matching the drive, rail, motor, controls, safety devices and accessories to your door and garage before installation.
A current belt-drive or qualified wall-mount model is usually the first comparison for an attached garage or living space near the garage. Door balance, rollers, hinges, and mounting also affect the sound you hear.
No. Battery backup, cameras, lighting, locks, and other features vary by series and model. We confirm the exact included equipment in the written quote.
Often, yes. Repair depends on the model, condition, failed component, modern safety equipment, and current parts support. We diagnose first and explain repair versus replacement before work begins.
Many LiftMaster openers have myQ built in, while some compatible older units can use a myQ Smart Garage Control. Compatibility depends on the opener model and learn-button generation, so we identify the exact unit before recommending an app setup or accessory.
A blocked, dirty, misaligned, or damaged safety sensor is a common cause, especially when the opener lights flash. The door path, sensor LEDs, wiring, travel settings, and door movement should be checked without bypassing the safety-reversal system.
Yes. We can match and program compatible LiftMaster remotes, wireless keypads, and supported vehicle controls. The model number and learn-button color help determine the correct accessory and programming method.
The learn button sits on the motor head, usually on the back or side panel or behind the light lens. Its color tells you the radio system: yellow is Security+ 2.0, purple is Security+ 315 MHz, red or orange is Security+ 390 MHz and green is the older Billion Code system. Remotes and keypads must match that system, so note the color before buying one.
Start with the model and serial label on the motor head, not the logo on the cover. A photo of that label, the learn button, the wall control, and the opener installation helps us identify the product generation and compatible parts.
Only when the door, torsion shaft, drums, track geometry, side room, headroom, weight, and balance meet the model requirements. We measure those conditions before recommending a wall-mount system such as a compatible 98022 or 98032 installation.
Repair may make sense when the door is balanced, the safety system is complete, the failed part is supported, and the rest of the opener is in good condition. Replacement becomes the stronger option when parts are unavailable, failures repeat, safety equipment is obsolete, or the opener no longer fits the door and feature needs.
